Simply A 2,500 i.u is just that, a simple oil solution of vitamin A as retinyl palmitate without any added excipients, fillers or preservatives. No water or glycerin that can cause it to go rancid. Made from pure retinyl palitate.
Approximately 1,430 drops per ounce.
Care and Storage:
THIS PRODUCT IS PRESERVATIVE FREE.
Use within 1 year of opening.
After opening, keep tightly sealed and store at room temperature in a dry location away from light.
Do not refrigerate after opening; doing so will increase the uptake of moisture and spoil this product. This product may be refrigerated if the original manufacturer's seal has not been broken.

Love this for topical use
I add this to my all natural moisturizer, using it topically on my face and neck. It's very agreeable with my skin and is a great way for me to get my dosage and the dermatological benefits at the same time.

Vitamin Toxicity
After a month of taking this vitamin a supplement (2 drops per day for a week, then reduced to a drop for 3 days) I had severe side effects. Such as, nausea, dizziness, headaches, extremely blurred vision, tendency to vomiting. I'd say to consult your doctor before purchasing on your own. Vitamin toxicity is dangerous. Please don't underestimate that.
