Affiliate Tax Information FAQ

Why do you collect tax information from your affiliates when they sign up?

Business Relationship

We want to know who we are doing business with and that you are serious about earning income. Providing the unavoidable documentation upfront should be fine because you will get paid for your work soon anyway.

When you sign up to be an affiliate with Health Natura, LLC, you enter into a business agreement under which we agree to pay you advertising fees in exchange for referring customers to healthnatura.com. This type of business agreement makes you an Independent Contractor. As such, the US government requires us to meet specific record-keeping requirements.

Why Can't I provide my tax information after I've earned money?

To avoid delays in sending you your money and reduce accounting expenses so we can continue to pay 20% commissions. In the past, we have allowed affiliates to submit their forms after they've earned enough money to get paid. In our experience, many affiliates abandon their earnings if they don't provide their tax documentation upfront. In the meantime, we've spent months trying to contact them and many additional hours of accounting to sort through who is and isn't allowed to be paid each month. We're serious about paying you and want you to be serious about getting paid. It's disheartening to see people earn money and not get paid.

What the US government requires of Health Natura, LLC

Under the United States Tax Code, we must file an information return with the IRS on all affiliates we pay. We must obtain your correct Full Name, Business Name (if applicable), Contact Information, and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), which may be your social security number (SSN), individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN), adoption taxpayer identification number (ATIN), employer identification number (EIN), or for INTERNATIONAL affiliates the identification number you use to report your income to your country of origin or residency to which you report your income.

Purpose of the W9 or W8 Form

The W9 or W8-BEN-E form (whichever is applicable) is the official document we must have that collects the above information in one place and proves to the government that we have done our due diligence to collect True and Accurate information from our affiliates.
Your Signature is where, under penalties of perjury, you certify that the information you have provided is correct to the best of your knowledge and that you are not subject to us (Health Natura, LLC) withholding taxes on your behalf.
