Vitamin C, Ultra with Bioflavonoids, is known as the most versatile vitamin in helping maintain a healthy immune system.  Five hundred to 1000 mg. is usually not enough to get results for the more serious concerns. My personal experience with Ultra C

Today I was reminded of why I love New Sun products so much. As is my habit, I like to try new product from different companies. Today I tried yet another buffered vitamin C from yet another quality company. Officially bringing my high dose vitamin C trial list to over thirty different types from many and various companies.

So I took a rational dose of a mere 4400mg (4.4grams) of the, to remain nameless, vitamin C. It was nice going down and I gave it no further thought… Till a few hours later when I was hit by the demanding urge of my bowels and jet propulsion. In the natural medicine field we call this vitamin C bowel tolerance. Now really this is nothing more than simple chemistry. The bowels like to be alkaline, vitamin C usually is not, and hence the body moves it on through as expeditiously as possible i.e. rocket science of the porcelain bowl. But now we are faced with research from greats like Linus Pauling and others extolling the benefits of high dose vitamin C. Doses that are not in the milligrams per day but in the GRAMS per day from 14g to 150g (14,000-150,000mg) in a single day. Under common circumstances with common vitamin C products, even supposedly buffered ones, 14 grams of vitamin C orally would turn the porcelain bowl into the porcelain launch pad; blast off in T-minus 10…9…oops! So since most people are like I, prefer to have their pants firmly at their waist, and not around the ankles, the panacea of vitamin C goes unexploited unless you have access to a kind doctor who will give it to you intravenously. 

Till Now… 

Now you could say that I have tried a few versions of oral vitamin C. And in my quest have spent plenty of time sitting on the throne, thinking about the subject. These vitamin C formulas that sat (I’m sorry, I meant “SAY”) that they are “buffered”, simply are not adequate on the buffer, or the process of buffering. I have often thought, “How is it possible for so many to get something like this, so consistently WRONG?” But New Sun’s Ultra C got it RIGHT. The visionary formulator, Jim Salvadori, was more than the fearless president of New Sun. He was a practitioner! He sees what we see, and solves it, better than it ever was before. 

Back to Ultra C… It is quite simply the best, buffered vitamin C I have ever seen. I have personally taken as much as 28 grams (56 capsules) in a single dose without GI upset, or “lift off”. This is the product that sold me on New Sun and gives me the confidence to trust their product line. I use Ultra C every day. I will never grow tired of this wonderful Ultra C formulation!
